Hamburg, March 2016: TRACK has developed a striking, new product campaign for airberlin that stylishly highlights the airline’s Business Class as well as numerous premium products and services. The campaign launch coincided with the start of the international travel trade show, ITB in Berlin.
For the visual implementation, TRACK worked alongside renowned Israeli illustrator and graphic designer, Noma Bar. His stripped down visual clarity plays with negative space, teasing with ambiguity and creating new perspectives that are genuinely surprising.
“Noma Bar communicates by using a minimum number of elements in a clever and charming way. And this perfectly embodies the airline as well as its desire to be the smart alternative. Just like the artist’s motifs, there’s more to airberlin than meets the eye,” explains Stefanie Zimmerman, CD at TRACK.
The visuals are complemented by slogans, which are also cleverly ambiguous and reinforced by the campaign message that airberlin is “The Smart Alternative.”
The new campaign can be found in prominent German publications, at Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Nuremberg airports, in ambient media, and on the websites of leading car rental companies.
